  1. In hindsight, my initial meeting with Dr. McIntosh seemed almost pre-destined; we were immediately drawn to each other as human beings of similar intent (in the most unlikely of circumstances!!). I found her energy and enthusiasm to be welcome and refreshing in these otherwise cynical times, and I believe she felt the same. She gave me a copy of her book that very day, the calibre of the content came as no surprise ~ crisp, insightful, and immaculate.

  2. Very insightful book. Dr. McIntosh hit a lot of what I was dealing with right on the head. I NEEDED THIS!

    • It’s people like you who inspire me to write. Life can be wonderful if we simply learn how to navigate our way to discover the good STUFF. Glad the book is of help to you.

  3. I was fortunate enough to get a copy of Dr. McIntosh’s new book “Get the Good Out of Life” signed by her. I don’t take that lightly. I know the wisdom and strength that dwells in her and was so grateful, though not surprised, to see those attributes come through in her book. She is a master storyteller and in her book she captures the deep emotions of the soul that we all at some point have experienced. I love the way the book shares stories of real people going through real life issues and draws out thoughtful insights and practical solutions. The flow of the chapters takes the reader from wherever they are to a place where they have the opportunity to live a life of freedom. This book is comfortable, yet it challenges my soul to strive for a better life. I believe that anyone who reads it will be changed for the better..if they want to be.

    • My life is complete when I help others through my literary work. It was worth the LABOR of love that it took to write this book. Thank you for such kind words spoken!

  4. i am getting ready to start with chapter 5 of the book and so far I can almost think of someone that I know that has experienced every situation that you speak of… Once you start reading the book you don’t want to put it down, I had to make myself stop reading so I could get some sleep, lol… This book is very inspirational and makes me think about how blessed I am not to have experienced some of the situations that you speak of… I can’t wait to finish the book…

    • Hello BABC,
It’s good to hear from Lee’s Summit, Missouri! It sounds like the person that you know should get a copy of my book. My objective of storytelling was to show others how to appreciate where they are in life by using the comparison of the atrocities of others. Thanks for your comment of my book and thanks for thinking of someone else in need!

  5. This book is inspirational. I took it to my recent vacation aboard the Carnival Valor. Every page that I read is like I was looking at my life through this book. Order Out of Chaos is the chapter that touched me the most every single day out of the seven days on the cruise. Dr. McIntosh I believe that this is a bestseller. I can’t wait for the next book. I believe that this is the beginning of a series of books that are going to change mankind. Thank you very much!

    • Adalberto,
what an inspirational message from you as well. I look forward to hearing from more people like yourself (from other countries) who have a zest for life and are ready to Get the Good Out of Life. Awesome opportunities awaits you.

  6. “Get the Good Out of Life” is very thought provoking and encouraging. As water is to a thirsty man, this book is to those who are seeking to live out this life in abundance and joy. Well done Dr. McIntosh.

    • The message of hope is universal and eternal. It has the power to steer us in the direction of faith, which ultimately leads us to victory. Thank you so much for your comment!

  7. I haven’t even finished chapter one and I have already had my mind opened. As a young woman, single mother of 2, one with special needs … I have been through some rough times. Needless to say chapter one is all about your mindset and how what we think and say totally changes our atmosphere. WHEW, my oh my how I can be changed from just this message. It is smooth read and captures my attention. I can tell I’m going to need to get some chocolate two bite brownies to snack on while reading this because its just that sweet! I skimmed through all the chapters and its titles and sections. Actually was upset with myself for starting to read it just before bedtime because my body was telling me to stop, but my heart wanted more. I’m looking forward to completing this book reading at least twice. You know, you’ve got to be sure you haven’t missed anything. If you are contemplating reading this book and haven’t made a decision, let me make it for you. GET IT! Not reading this book is like saying “I’m content with living a mediocre life”. This isn’t a ‘how to’ book… or the 10 steps to happiness. It is the truth from Gods heart to yours expressing HIS will for you to live life abundantly. So .. are you going to join me on this journey?

    • Wow! What an impacting comment, Athena! Your life story will one day affect multitudes. Thank you!

  8. Embracing Change! I really could identify with the two stories that Dr. McIntosh wrote about in this chapter. So many people today seem very unmotivated to change and in turn become stuck in a pit of life. As in Dr. McIntosh’s first example we can be stuck in life by, reliving the bad experiences, that someone, or circumstance that’s been effecting us on a daily basis. Reading this book is helping me break the chains that have been keeping me from moving forward towards my new level in life! This book is very encouraging and I recommend it to everyone who wants to move to a new level of life that is better.

    Thank You! Dr. McIntosh

  9. “GTGOOL” has truly inspired my life in a number of ways. This inspirational book is teaching me how to deal with certain events in life that are designed to hinder me. It’s showing me that a hindrance doesn’t have to remain a hindrance, instead, I can find a way to use the hindrance as a stepping stone to reach my ultimate goal in life! The ultimate goal is “Getting the Good Out of Life!” Awesome, powerful, inspirational, uplifting words written by Dr. Loretta McIntosh!!!!! I’m going to keep spreading the word about this book to as many people as possible.
